Samuel H. Boardman is the king of no work, all reward. There are arches and sea caves all over the place if you know where to look and what time of day to visit. Despite being a small stretch of highway you get a very respectable “bang for your buck”. You can realistically knock out the entire scenic corridor in one day if you hustle, making it a great pit stop on your road trip. However, If you want to stick around longer, there are cheap motels and tons of hidden spots to explore. Google earth is your friend here if you want to find the REALLY hidden spots. Since the 101 runs right along the coast, you can go off the beaten path without getting too lost.
You can use this guide to plan your entire trip from start to finish. However, we encourage you to do your own research and hope you use this guide to streamline that process. We can’t fit every spot in this guide, so we just focused on our favorites. Make it your own and enjoy!
